Individual Health Identifier (IHI)
We need your Individual Health Identifier (IHI) Number to issue an electronic script.
Methods to Get an IHI Number
1. Via myGov (Fastest)
Sign in to your myGov account, select "View and link services," and choose "Individual Healthcare Identifiers service." Follow the prompts to verify your identity using a passport, visa, or driver license.
2. Via Form
If you are not eligible for Medicare/DVA, complete the Request an Individual Healthcare Identifier form (MS003). This requires sending certified copies of your identity documents and takes longer to process.
3. Via Telephone
You can call the Healthcare Identifiers Service on 1300 361 457 (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm AEST) to check your details or for assistance.
